Donald Trump, the newly elected 45th President of the US, has a long history in the construction industry, and he made infrastructure spending a key aspect of his election campaign.

 

Throughout the campaign, he regularly referred to his construction expertise as a major strength in comparison to his rivals, and many of his policies focused on utilizing this experience to expand US infrastructure to drive economic growth and create jobs. Since coming to office, the new president’s policy platform with regards to supporting the economy, and the construction industry in particular, has become clearer.
